The whole application process will be conducted online on the NTA official website. The UGC NET June 2024 Application link is scheduled to be deactivated on 10th May 2024. Readers should check the information bulletin before starting the application process.

Candidates will have to complete all stages and appear for the exam to get the scorecard. The officials have also changed the UGC National Eligibility Test dates recently. Per the new notice, the new exam schedule is 18th June 2024.

Eligibility Criteria is one of the most important sections. It provides information regarding the eligibility criteria which need to be fulfilled to be able to appear for the exam. Please note that no applications of candidates who do not fulfill the mentioned conditions will be accepted by the concerned authority. Below is the detailed eligibility criteria mentioned by the officials:

• Candidates belonging to the general and EWS category must have scored at least 55% marks in the post-graduation or its equivalent. 
• Students belonging to the SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PWD, and Third Gender categories must have scored at least 50% marks in the post-graduation or its equivalent.
• Please note that there is no upper age limit for candidates who are applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor and admission to PhD.
• The maximum age limit of candidates applying for JRF must not be more than 30 years old on the 1st day of the month in which the examination is concluded i.e. 1st June 2024.

Students who are interested in appearing for the exam will have to fill out the application form. The following is the step-by-step guide through which readers will be able to submit the UGC NET 2024 Application Form easily:

• First of all, visit the authorized web portal of the UGC NET using this link address: https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/#
• Secondly, the entry page will open on the respective screen.
• Thirdly, go to the Latest News section available at the top of the home page.
• Afterwards, find the UGC NET June 2024 Registration / Login option and click on it once.
  
• Furthermore, a new page will open on the screen where you will see the registration link on the left side of the screen.
• Click on it and the users will be redirected to a new page holding important instructions.
   
• Afterwards, a new page will open where you will have to select the method of completing the registration process.
• Provide the necessary details, complete the registration process, and move back to the login page.
• Additionally, enter the login details and get access to the application form.
  
• Start entering the details on the application form such as educational qualifications and others.
• You will now reach the next stage, where you must upload the necessary documents in the required format and size.
• Finally, the last stage of the application process will open on the screen, where you must select the payment method and pay the fee accordingly.

In the following section, we have mentioned details regarding the syllabus and exam pattern of the UGC NET. Candidates who are applying for the exam should check the following section as it will help them with the exam preparation:

• The authority will conduct the exam in the OMR-Based mode only.
• There will be a total of two papers in the exam.
• Both question papers will have objective-type, multiple-choice questions.
• No break will be provided between both papers.
• Paper 1: There will be a total of 50 questions. Each question will carry two marks which means that the question paper will be of 100 marks. The officials will assess the teaching and research aptitude. The paper will be prepared to check threading comprehension, general awareness, reasoning ability, and more.
• Paper 2: There will be a total of 100 questions. The question paper will be of 200 marks. This means each question will carry 2 marks. The paper will be based on the subject opted by the candidate and will check the domain knowledge.
• Candidates will have to complete the exam in 3 hours i.e., 180 minutes. 
• There is no negative marking in the exam.
