Counselling Process and Post Allotment Steps
Candidates who clear the UPCATET 2024 examination will be eligible to sit for the counselling rounds. They must be present for the counselling and document verification step on the designated day. Counselling days are assigned based on merit/rank in the UPCATET 2024 exam. Once a candidate has applied for UPCATET counselling rounds and completed online choice filling and locking of colleges and subjects, they must wait for the UPCATET counselling seat allotment result to see which college and course they have been allotted.
Post Allotment Requirements
- Pay Security Fee: Candidates must pay the security fee of ₹5000/- to secure their seat.
- Document Verification: Visit the allotted institute for document verification and complete the remaining admission formalities.
- Download Provisional Allotment Letter: After the payment of the security fee, candidates can download their provisional allotment letter.
- Reporting to Institute: Report to the allotted institute within the specified dates to confirm admission.
Important Notes Regarding UPCATET 2nd Seat Allotment 2024
- In case the candidates get their seat upgraded, the security fee paid for the previous seat will be adjusted in the new seat. If the candidate rejects the seat, the security fee will not be refunded.
- If a candidate has accepted a paid seat in the first counselling but gets allocated a free seat in the next counselling, then 50% of the payment done for the previous seat will be refunded.
- Candidates will get the chance of upgradation only once. Course upgradation for candidates will be allowed within the allotted institute. There will be no provision of changing from one course to another.
- If a candidate withdraws from the course after being admitted and the seat is filled by another candidate, the leaving candidate will be refunded the registration fee, seat booking fee, and admission fee. If no other candidate fills the seat, only the caution money will be refunded.
