India is rolling out a new policy to give smartphones and tablets a 5-star energy rating, helping consumers make greener, smarter buying decisions. Backed by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, the rule will also introduce a repairability index to cut e-waste and promote sustainable tech habits.
