HP Gramin Dak Sevak 2nd Merit List 2024
Selection of suitable candidates for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) will be done on the basis of an auto-generated HP GDS merit. No selection test was conducted by the authority. The merit list of the candidates will be based on the scrutiny and analysis of the applications submitted by the candidates.
Registered candidates whose applications were accurate and completely filled be considered for preparation of HP Post GDS merit list. The recruiting authorities will be selecting candidates on the basis of marks secured by them in class 10th/ SSC as per the selection policy of the Department of Post, Government of India.
In case, two candidates secure same marks in class 10th, then the given tie-breaking criteria will be used to determine the HP GDS merit-
- Age criteria- candidates older in age will be given preference

- Unreserved (UR) female
- ST male

Candidates who have filled in higher education details in the application form should note that they will not be getting any benefit or weightage of the same.
HP GDS Post Result Activity
The selection process of GDS postal circles of India mainly includes two processes viz.-
Scrutiny of applications to prepare merit and verification of documents. The result of the first phase has been declared now the selected candidates have to go through the second round of selection. The provisionally selected candidates have to visit the respective centre for the purpose of verification of original documents on the date and time specified to them.
After the declaration of the result, the final selection of the eligible candidate will be made by the district recruiting authorities falling under the jurisdiction of the HP postal circle. Mere receiving an SMS on selection will not imply that the candidates have been finally selected. The final selection of the candidates will be done only after the satisfactory verification of original documents by the recruiting authority.
Candidates should be present with the original copies of the following documents at the time of verification-

- SSC/High school pass Certificate
- Date of birth certificate (if DOB not mentioned on SSC certificate)
